When designing your kitchen take into consideration the angles from your cooker, sink and fridge.
As usually the distance between the cooker and sink is the shortest one, where as the distance between the cooker and fridge and sink and fridge are usually the longer ones when it comes to walking distance.
You will first have to note your service points within the kitchen room such as electricity/gas and water points. Picture your main key points – cooker, sink, fridge and microwave. How close to the centre of the kitchen or to other key points is each service?
Which ones will be arms length away and which ones require footsteps to reach, the space incorporated within these areas are based on individual needs; however a general rule of thumb is that the sink has one worktop space separating it from the cooker.
I have listed the various stages and skills required to complete your new kitchen. Each stage is linked to an information page with more in depth information.
